Grete Jalk Bow Chair

New from Lange Production, Denmark.

Designed in 1963, the Bow Chair won the Daily Mail Furniture competition.  That same year, the chair was purchased by the MoMA and remains on permanent exhibition to this day.  Despite this international recognition, only a few hundred copies were produced during jalk's lifetime. The chair requires a highly complex method of production and is a great example of her sheer technical daring and experiment with form and moulded plywood.  Composed of only two conjoined pieces, the result is organic and elegant.

Available in walnut and or black stained ash.
